Asset | International Business & Management is a department of Asset Tilburg which is the association of all students studying at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM).
Activities
All activities organized by Asset | International Business & Management are organized in an international environment. Therefore, the international aspect of our association can be found throughout the three pillars Asset | IB&M is based on. These pillars include providing study support to the study programs BSc International Business Administration and MSc International Management and to any student interested in the fields addressed in those programs, by means of guidelines and preparation for exchange. Secondly, Asset | International Business & Management offers students the possibility to get in touch with potential future employers, thus acting as an intermediary between students and companies. Furthermore, we provide active members with the opportunity to develop themselves by doing committee work and offer training for personal development. Asset | IB&M closes the gap between theory and practice. Lastly, when providing students with the best support possible during their university career, social interaction should play a role. Asset | International Business & Management is a platform where students get in touch with fellow students from all study years to exchange experiences.
History
Study Association Asset | International Business & Management dates back to 1981 and resulted from a merger in 2008 between the two associations VITE International and Pro-M. From 2008 onwards the association was called Asset | FIRST International. In the summer of 2013 the current name, Asset | International Business & Management, was introduced to clearly convey which students and studies the association represents and serves. Asset | International Business & Management serves the bachelor students of International Business Administration (IBA) and the master students of International Management at Tilburg University. The two programs in the fields of business stress the international aspects of their field of study and stimulate the development of their students into broadly trained professionals. Asset | International Business & Management follows this line by offering a broad variety of activities and services to its 1800 members and alumni.
